Terms & policies

The terms that apply to a product quotation, order, delivery and return.

Quotations

Enquiries and quotations

  • Every sourced, commercial and BOQ order is quoted in writing before it is confirmed.
  • A quotation covers the items, brands, specifications and quantities stated on it and nothing else.
  • Prices are quoted against supplier confirmation at the time of quoting and can change if the supplier price or specification changes.
  • A quotation is valid for the period stated on it. After that it is re-checked before confirmation.
  • Availability is not promised until a supplier confirms it.

Ordering

Confirmation and payment

  • An order is confirmed when the written quotation is accepted.
  • Special-order and sourced items may require payment in advance or on confirmation.
  • Payment terms, where offered, are agreed in writing before the order is placed.
  • Final invoice, GST and legal details are confirmed at billing.

Delivery

Delivery of supplied products

  • Delivery is coordinated only for products supplied against an accepted Obra quotation.
  • Delivery charges are quoted by distance and load and stated on the quotation.
  • Delivery dates are estimates based on supplier confirmation, not guarantees.
  • Please check quantities and condition on receipt and note any shortage or damage at the time of delivery.
  • Failed deliveries caused by access problems are rescheduled at additional transport cost.

Returns

What can and cannot be returned

Unused, unopened stock items in resaleable condition may be returned within the period stated on the invoice. The following cannot be returned:

  • Tinted paints and custom-mixed shades
  • Cut materials: sheets, pipes, sections and profiles
  • Opened chemicals, adhesives and sealants
  • Special-order and sourced items brought in against your requirement
  • Items damaged after delivery

Warranty

Manufacturer and supplier warranty

Products carry the warranty offered by their manufacturer or supplier. Obra passes on that warranty and assists with a claim, but does not extend it or add to it. Warranty terms, duration and claim process are those of the manufacturer.

Products must be selected, stored and used according to the manufacturer instructions. A warranty does not cover misuse, incorrect selection, incorrect storage or damage occurring after delivery.

Scope

Limit of responsibility

Obra’s responsibility is limited to quoted products and delivery coordination. All onsite activity is outside Obra’s scope and is arranged independently by the customer.
